Dr. John Davies DVM, DACVS-SA

Diplomate, American College Of Veterinary Surgeons

Dr. Davies was raised on his family’s farm in rural Ontario, Canada. He attained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario and completed his rotating internship at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He then moved to the US and completed his surgical residency at the Washington State College of Veterinary Medicine in Pullman, WA.

Dr. Davies has extensive experience with soft tissue, orthopedic and neurologic surgery and is excited to bring his skills to the Rogue Valley. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Davies teaches surgical courses to other veterinarians around the United States and has published multiple articles in scientific journals.

In his spare time, Dr. Davies enjoys spending time with his daughter and enjoying all the outdoor activities the Rogue Valley and Southern Oregon has to offer.

Kayla Weisz

Veterinary Assistant

Kayla was raised in the Rogue Valley and after leaving for a few years is happy to be back in the Rogue Valley.

Kayla has over 8 years experience in veterinary medicine and has focused on working with people and their pets in a specialty surgery setting for the past 4 years. She has worked in the surgery departments of multiple specialty hospitals in LA, the Bay Area and in the Rogue Valley. She brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to our patients, clients and hospital.

Kayla is currently enrolled in veterinary technician school and enjoys a wide variety of hobbies from hiking to baking, sewing and cold plunging.

Stephanie Carmignani

Stephanie was born and raised in the East San Francisco Bay Area until moving to Southern Oregon in the summer of 2019.

In her over 40 years work experience, Stephanie has worked in a wide range of fields, from dispatching, public safety emergency services, and running a coffee shop she has many interesting stories.

Stephanie loves to travel wherever she can go in her free time. Her favourite so far has been a two week trip to Italy and Germany with her family. Stephanie enjoys glamping with her husband and chocolate lab. Stephanie loves "doing whatever she can, whenever she can."

Dee Lath

Veterinary Assistant

Dee was raised in New Zealand and after traveling the globe for a few years landed in Southern Oregon in 2019.

Dee’s passion for animal wellness began at a young age while volunteering for a local shelter. This blossomed and progressed into a career in veterinary medicine shortly after moving to Oregon. Dee is excited to work in a specialty surgery center and expand her knowledge in the field.

In her free time Dee loves to hike and explore Southern Oregon with her german shepherd Josey. Together they also train and compete in obedience and protection dog sports throughout the West Coast.

Nicole Davis

Certified Veterinary Technician

Nicole was born and raised in the small town of Rogue River. Her heart has always been in the Rogue Valley, and is happy to be back after receiving her Certified Veterinary Technician license from Portland Community College.

Nicole started working in veterinary medicine as a kennel attendant in high school. She rapidly progressed to becoming a veterinary assistant and went on to obtain her license as a Certified Veterinary Technician. Through externships in the PCC Veterinary Technician Program, she has gained experience in many different hospital settings, including emergency, specialty, and large animal medicine.

In her free time, Nicole loves to spend time outdoors, play board games, and hang out with her husband and their cat, Squiggles.
